Mark Shapiro, Principal of In Focus, has been a consultant to nonprofit organizations and foundations since 1991. He has spent his entire career in the Kansas City nonprofit sector as a staff person, executive director, and foundation program officer and has a wealth of experience in grant writing, planning, training, and outcomes measurement. Mark authored Alice and Aspen software and provides help desk support to agencies across the country. In addition, he has consulted with over 170 organizations, written more than 600 grants, and provided a wide range of assistance in the areas of process facilitation, program evaluation, and data analysis. He frequently leads grant writing and outcomes measurement training courses for nonprofit staff. Mark is also a regular presenter and writer on issues affecting nonprofit organizations.
